Undergraduate Research Involving Pulsed Layer Deposition (PDL) and Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

Graduate Research

This project supports 4 PIs and their graduate students in working on the collaborative project covering thin film growth, characterization, materials modeling, device simulation and processing. The team meets weekly for research finding presentations, research discussion and paper and meeting planning.

Undergraduate research

The PhD. Students Benson Tsai and Jialong Huang in Wang thin film group guided an undergraduate student Allison Scher in conducting research for the DMREF project. She works as an undergraduate researcher in the group.  Pictures on the right show her doing PLD deposition for the project, preparing TEM samples for the project, and conducting a presentation during undergraduate presentation meeting at the end of the semester.
