We hosted our annual NSF DMREF team workshop at the University of San Diego, immediately following the Frontiers in Soft Matter and Macromolecular Networks symposium in which our trainees presented posters and networked with rising stars and established faculty in Soft Materials research.

The NSF DMREF weekend workshop enabled hands-on training, group research, project planning,  and community building opportunities for students from USD and UC Santa Barbara, facilitated theory-experiment feedback among the team, and sparked new collaborations with the NSF DMREF team and symposium speakers.
